KurtUSB DC I/O Module

The KurtUSB DC I/O module can help eliminate the need for PLC type controls in many automated applications. Using the 24 volts from the KurtUSB Control Supply Module or an external power source, the I/O module can directly monitor inputs such as proximities, photo eyes, switches or buttons and can control drive valves, beacon lights and relays. The 16 supplied inputs have an automatic sourcing/sinking detect, which means either type input device can be connected to any input. The 16 supplied outputs are all internally fused and can be wired to be active constantly or only when there is not an emergency stop situation. By using KurtSPC with the KurtUSB I/O Module, through Event Actions and software controlled Pushbuttons, complete machine control in many cases can be accomplished without the need for a PLC or even an electronic enclosure.
